Intensive Four-Week Summer Reading Camp

Camp Read is an intensive four week summer reading camp for children PK-3rd grade. The camp is conducted by master’s level speech language pathologists and reading specialists. Camp Read targets reading fluency, phonological awareness, decoding, academic vocabulary and reading comprehension which are essential components for reading success. Each camp has 12 campers who will be divided into three groups of four students while they work on a variety of skills for reading improvement. For maximum benefit to be made during camp, homework is strongly encouraged.

Parents may sign their child up for one or both summer sessions of Camp Read. A pre-test will be conducted prior to camp.
